‘Megastar Chiranjeevi’ the legend who have ruled Telugu cinema more than a decade. Chiranjeevi who got into the hearts of million people as Megastar is away from industry for ten years. He has done guest roles for two times only after ‘Shankar Dada Jindabad’ in 2007. Chiru has done special roles in Cherry’s Magadheera and Bruce lee is now ready to entertain again after ten years for this Sankranti. The movie is a remake of Tamil hit ‘Katthi’ which is directed by VV Vinayak and produced by his son ‘Ram Charan’ with Chiru’s wife Surekha is presenting.

Story: The main theme of this film is the war of a youngster towards the problems of farmers. A chain of farmer suicides because of using fake fertilizers. Government forced farmers to give their lands to corporate companies. Due to occupying land, water resources farmers lost their existence who actually depend mainly on farming. Hero who starts war in support of farmers finally gains impact from Government and give trouble to urban system. How government responds? How does this problem solved in favor of farmers? Will form the rest of story.

Performances: Chiru is the center of attraction because he is doing this movie after 10years of gap. He is awesome with his dances and dialogues. The overall performance of Chiru is beyond the expectations. Kajal did a fantastic job. Especially in songs Chiru is too good with Kajal. Lakshmi Roy show in Rathalu song is a feast for the mass audience. Cherry’s dance in Lets do Kummudu song is a special attraction. Tarun Arora who had acted in Choodalani Undhi is stylish and shows cruel angle in his role. Ali is very good as Chiru’s friend and Brahmi’s role will spread some laughs.

Technically: DSP songs are very good. DSP does magic with his mass beats. Rathalu, let’s do kummud and Sundari songs shows mass beat where NEERU song is emotionally touching. Devi is fantastic with RR. There is nothing to point out in Ratnavelu’s cinematography. Parochoori Brothers, Vema Reddy, Burra Saimadhav dialogues, comedy, action and emotions all are very well balanced. Editing of senior editor Goutham Raju is very good even though the run time is a bit lagging. The production values are fabulous as Ram Charan did fantastic job as producer for his very first movie.

VV Vinayak is Taylor made for commercial mass entertainers. Vinayak who gave a disaster like ‘Akhil’ has directed this ‘Khaidi No.150’. Vinayak has given best output because this is a story of Tamil hit movie. ‘Tagore’ which was a blockbuster in Chiru-VInayak combo and Vinayak also did a role in Khaidi as he did in Tagore which decided and confirmed another hit in their combination.

Punch Line: 100% mass and commercial entertainer.

Rating: 3.25/5
